REPEAT PRINT Drawing my tracing ready for screen print!

Original design
My next step was to draw a tracing,  to be transferred onto mesh ready for screen printing. We had to create a design using all our different patterns made up from our visual sheets. The design had to be in black and white. I used different types of black pens including marker pens, fine liners and thin felt-tips. I experimented by shading and filling different parts of the image, this is done by cross hatch, lines, stripes or even dots to create texture.
The first step to this process is:

1. Get a perfect square from an A3 size sheet of card.

2. Pencil your design in the middle of the square.
3. Extend your design to the top and bottom of the square.
4. Find the continuous line from the top of the design to the bottom.
5. Cut with scissors or a craft knife at the side of the line making sure it's perfect.
6. Place the straight cut out sides together and secure with masking tape.
7. Complete the design where you have taped it together so that you end up with a continuous pattern.
8. Once your image is complete photocopy it onto tracing paper so that it's ready to be made into a screen.
